Hi all, just to let you know that as a group of local brewers, that is most of the micros in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and Durham, we are all brewing a brand new never been tasted before set of beers. They are for a small competition to raise the profile of our local quality ale producers, and it has been organised by me and the brewers themselves over a period of time.

It will give the opportunity to try these beers over the first bank holiday in May, with the beers initially showcased at The Boathouse (Wylam), the Newcastle Arms (Newcastle), The John Bull (Alnwick), and the Victoria (Durham). They should be a selection, if not all, at these pubs over the whole weekend.

Look out for further details, and ask if you need any more details.

After that, the beers will be available to publicans in general, with the Head of Steam chain showing early interest. So pester your publican to stock this, and support the pub and brewer alike.

Happy drinking, Northern Brewer.

This is excellent news and can only be a good thing for our great local brewers.
