Hi all, and a great festival it is turning out to be.

However, does anyone know when the beer of the festival is announced, and how it is decided on. Who makes the choice and actually votes.

I have spoken to a few CAMRA members who all seem rather vague on this, and were over the last few years at the Newcastle festivals I asked them about this.

Cheers for now, enjoy.
Northern Brewer.

I take it from the number of views, but lack of answers, no one really knows.
Cheers, Northern Brewer.

Cider was Incendery Device

Don't know where it is from as it is not in the programme

The cider is from a small cider producer in the Wirral called Potters. The Incendiary Device is his 7.0% medium dry version and is marketed under the banner of Merseycider.
His other ciders are called Bombsite and Stretchercase.

Cheers

Which ales came third and forth or were the three ales listed as joint fifth really joint third? as third normally comes after second or did I miss the sums lesson. The festival was great just a pity some ales evaporated before Friday evening and could not be tasted by thirsty students of real ale
