Steve describes it as “a milk porter, very dark amber coloured, almost black, with a thick tan head. The nose is of chocolaty roasted, nutty toffee and spicy notes. Sales of both casks and bottles are continuing to grow at a very pleasing rate. Cyril the Magnificent, brewed as a special for Newcastle Beer Festival, has proved so popular that it has been brewed again, and all of the second brew has been sold. Hopefully, due to it's 5.5 ABV strength, another brew will be done in November to warm up those cold winter months.
