High House Farm brewery, in Matfen, is having a Summer BBQ on the evening of Friday 27th July, and all CAMRA members are invited. I am trying to organise a bus from town if there is enough interest. If you haven't already received an email from me, Neil Harvey, and you fancy going, please contact me using the email address on the Canny Bevvy website.

Anyone up for a bike ride?

I'm thinking of taking a relatively short-notice ride out to either Wark or Greenhaugh from the Newcastle area next Saturday (14/4). Take in a couple of pubs along the way, stay in either the Hollybush or Battlesteads Hotel Saturday night, cycle back the next day.

If you're interested, woodhead@msu.edu or 0191 285 6567 and let me know. Also, if you think of a better destination / pubs on the way then let me know - nothing is set in stone. We need to decide by midweek if we are to get accommodated.

Cheers,
