Firstly, Happy Christmas and a prosperous 2009 to you all.
This has been another fantastic year for Hadrian and Border Brewery, with all the guys working hard for the success we have enjoyed. We continue to sell incresed volumes of beer, despite the credit crunch. New customers are still being found, whilst consolidation of existing clients is ongoing.
Some of you may have tried this years festive offering, YULE FUEL 5% ABV. It has almost sold out already.
But dont despair, for the long winter nights to come (and days its seems at the moment), a hearty and satisfying 5.2% Porter is on its way. Being brewed this week, it is a brand new beer, and is to be a new member of our already extensive portfolio of quality ales.
Initially, this brand new Porter will be available to celebrate Alan Stobbs 10,000th different beers. (thats a lot of beer Alan, remember to drink in moderation!).
We continue to look for larger premises and have "irons in a few fires" despite very little support from the local Council who seem hell bent on turning the Byker and Ouseburn areas into block after block of yuppie flats and thousand after 1000 of empty offices. Hmmm, very forward thinking.
Anyway, enough of that, and we look forward to serving you all with consistent quality ales and service into 2009.
Thanks to CAMRA for their close working relationship with us, an important thing for the brewers and the organisation both.
Cheers, Northern Brewer.
