Hi everyone. Firstly, thanks for all the positive comments regarding the North East Battle of the Beers. First class ales and venues. A great thing for the local micro trade.

We sold the whole Newcastle Pioneer brew in less than a week after our win. We decided by weight of demand, to brew it a second time. Again the second batch lasted a similar period of time.

We have now brewed the Byker Pale, ABV 4.3% as the special for the rest of May, and for June. This has proved popular in the past when it has been featured, so pester your local publican to get some in before its gone. (We will only brew this once in June so be quick).

Back to the much enjoyed Newcastle Pioneer, I took delivery of yet another load of the hops this week so will be brewing it on Wednesday next week.

So watch this space and happy drinking to you all.

And remember this, your drinking keeps me employed and fed!!!, and drinking of course.

Cheers, Northern Brewer.

I've certainly enjoyed the Newcastle Pioneer whenever I've tried it - very tasty. Not seen the Byker Pale yet, have to keep my eyes open for this one.

I can agree with ouseburner on that one.
Marty, its fantastic and I bet you will keep surprising us with yet more and more fantastic brews Cool

Have yet to sample the Byker pale ale.

Keep up the good work and hope to see the new brew down the boathouse soon.

I will mention it to JJ and Norman too. Wink

Sampled several pints of the Byker Pale Ale at the Newcastle Arms, it was superb!
Well done to Marty and the gang.

Keep it going!

Kind Regards

Like Andy, had this at the Newcastle Arms on Friday. Very tasty - as shown by the fact that it didn't last long.
