Hi all, just to let you know we are helping Shotley Bridge Cricket Club once again this year, with their annual beer festival, in cojunction with the Round Table.
You may remember last year's proved a great success, and they hope to build on this by making it even bigger and better.
The venue is Shotley Bridge Cricket Club, obviously, and it is on Friday 28 August 6pm - 11pm, Saturday and Sunday 29th and 30th, 11am - 11pm.
Entry is £3.00 per head, which is remarkable value, as this includes your programme and a commemorative glass.
We will have 12 of our beers on, all different, and to put a slight twist in the tail, they will be renamed by the organisers for a bit of extra fun. (hope they call them something nice!!!). A good exercise for you connosieurs to try and work out which is which.
There will be beers there from other local breweries such as, Durham, Wylam, Jarrow, Big Lamp, Allendale and High House Farm, as well as Rudgate.
Five cask lagers from five different breweries will be featured. And in the words of the advert, but wait there's more!!! There will be five different real ciders, from Westons and Perry Bros.
In total, 25 different quality real ales, and 5 ciders.
We are pleased to have the help of some Camra members in the setting up of this festival, and for the loan of some equipment.
Hope to see as many of you there as possible, and there will be a charity cricket match taking place on the Sunday with local teams organised by the Rotary Club and Round Table organisations.
Cheers for now, Northern Brewer.
