| Here is the brewery report for July.
Sales of both casks and bottles are continuing to grow at a very pleasing rate. Cyril the Magnificent, brewed as a special for Newcastle Beer Festival, has proved so popular that it has been brewed again, and all of the second brew has been sold. Hopefully, due to it's 5.5 ABV strength, another brew will be done in November to warm up those cold winter months.
The brewery was very pleased to win the Silver Award for the Beer of the Festival at Newcastle, and I was pleased to present Steve with the award at the brewery recently.
The brewery is keen to promote CAMRA at the Visitor Centre, and will be offering CAMRA members 5% discount on all draught and bottled beers on presentation of a valid CAMRA membership card.
The Visitor Centre continues to be popular, and they have just introduced Sunday lunches (bookings in advance, please!).
There is a Summer BBQ at the brewery on Friday 27th July, and the branch is hoping to run a bus out if there is enough interest. Unfortunately, our Social Secretary, Bill Case, is on holiday then, so if you're interested in going on the bus, please email me on press@cannybevvy.co.uk. |
