PostSubject: Brewery Set To Close   Wed Jan 07, 2009 8:27 pm

elephant The Ship Inn Brewery,Newton Square ,low Newton By the sea will close down for a well deserved shutdown to get those niggely little jobs done that have been impossable to do due to the hectic first nine months of production, enough stock has been produced to keep going untill the end of Febuary ,so plenty beer on the bar.Plans are being drawn up on how to increase production by the introduction of more brewing vessels the problem being where to put the bloody things, lots of irons are currently in the fire. The local brewer will be aquiring a new apprentice to elieviate him of the lesser tasks involved within the brewing process(there dirty jobs but someone has to do them)thus freeing him up for more brewtime.Just under 26,000 pints were produced in the first nine months, six new beers on the counter and not one draw back(strange that?)a huge amount of interest has been generated with no real pushing by the pub the plan is to hopefully be self sufficient in 2009 but we very much doubt it even brewers need holidays apparently!!!! elephant
