Here at the Ship Inn Brewery we like to name our beers after local landmarks or local charachters and events.
To the south west of the village and only accessable over a rickety bramble covered bridge lies an unusual rocky outcrop only visable at vey low tides,
some people say that it resembles a massive animals foot.
this gave us a good idea for a name for the forthcoming new beer:

"Thorney bridge, giant paw"
