Abbeydale Brewery Food & Beer Matching Weekend at the Bacchus Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August 2009

Beer and Food Menu;

Matins 3.6% abv
Pale straw-coloured session beer, herby aromas with hints of green peppers, fresh & clean with moderate bitterness
with Beef Casserole, Wild Mushrooms & Vanilla

Daily Bread 3.8% abv
Classic English bitter, copper-coloured with balanced malty flavours and Fuggles hops, bitter finish
with Oxtail Soup, Baguette

Moonshine 4.3% abv
Pale bitter, floral aroma, grapefruit and lemon citrus taste, quenching bitter finish
with Chicken Breast stuffed with mango on a bed of sticky citrus rice

Absolution 5.3% abv
Mid-straw coloured, aromas of tropical fruits and mango, fruity flavours of toffee-apples and bananas, bitter finish
with Wild Boar sausages, almond nougat mash & crispy leeks

Black Mass 6.66% abv
Dark ruby ale, aromas of dark chocolate, coffee & burnt toast, flavours of bitter chocolate, fruitcake, raisins and a hint of cherries, full bodied and warming
with Pheasant with redcurrant sauce, seasonal vegetables

Last Rites 11.0% abv
Pale for its strength, full bodied with aromas of toffee & caramel, smooth & sweet flavour with lots of toffee, candied peel and dried citrus fruit
with Strawberries – Mexican-style

Wheat Beer 4.5% abv
Traditionally cloudy, brewed with proper wheat beer yeast giving flavours of cloves and banana
with Smoked Sardines on a bed of ratatouille

Dr Morton’s Djinn Jar Beer 4.2% abv
Golden beer made with fresh root ginger
with Goats cheese & caramelised onion tart, house salad
