| Dropping like flies..... First casulty Pictish Cluster 4.1% went off last night just after ten.
Any desperardo tickers in the area please note that Galway Hooker is on in the Clunny. Fransican Well Shannon Stout is also lurking in the cellar there but wasn't on last night. |

| | Seems to me to be a hit this one. I've managed to sample, quaff and even not remember some of the 17 I have tried up to now. Well done to all involved in this festival. May it continue too. |

| Well done to all at the Newcastle Arms. Neil and his backroom staff are doing much better at managing the Top Toon Pub, compared to King Kev and Terry Mc Dermott (the BBC man!!! - That stands for balls, bibs and cones by the way) at the alleged Top Toon Team.
Popped in yesterday, and had a great couple of hours, and a few good halves of fine beer and stout. It was a great atmosphere and everyone I spoke to said it was a great affair.
Tried some Temptation before heading off into the sunset of the Bigg Market and resisting the invites of some scantilly clad nubile young ladies trying to lure us into dens of iniquity. The offers where very good though, and I think Neil needs take a leaf out of their books.
The idea of three shots and a mixer for a quid, and the delightful idea of drinking it in a darkened room with "topless totty" does hold strange appeal. You will be pleased to know I settled for a kebab instead and wandered off into the limelight for my train.
What brought me to this chioce you ask, well.......... I simply thought of all of the staff at the Newcastle Arms serving fine real ales with their tops off, and the kebab seemed the obvious option.
Cheers guys, a great festival. Northern Brewer. |

| | All I can say is. . . What a weekend that was. Got through quite a few on the final day. Also managed to sample the perry and cider. Must have lost it after that but still got up for the usual shift at work today. Well done to the team once again. And also to the suppliers. Without them we wouldn't have had a festival. 3 cheers and a few more beers to the next one. |
