Dear CAMRA members, I recently posted an article on this website, in which I referred to our good friend Chris Palmer as being thick/filthy/foul mouthed/obnoxious etc etc. The original piece was intended to be a tounge in cheek jibe at our favourite mackem yet seemed to open the floodgates to the opinions of many other, more malicious individuals and in response I would like to set the record straight!!!

Depite his Mackem roots, Chris is a highly intelligent, successful and charming individual and a thoroughly "allround" decent chap. Suave and sophisticated, and with a keen eye for the latest high-fashion, he exudes that quintissential style that most of us ordinary blokes yearn for. Being fluent in over 25 languages, a world-renowned kick-boxer and a 3 star Michellin chef, the former SAS Captain is certainly a target for the ladies, yet due to his commitments as concert pianist to the London Philarmonic and heavily in demand after-dinner speeches, he rarely finds the time. As you will discover in his forthcoming autobiography "Palmersville" there is a whole lot more to Chris than merely swearing & drinking cider and I wholeheartedly condemn any future slanderous abuse of Mr. Palmer!!

barry!
